Sarah Thevenot
Lecturer and Hospital Practitioner in hospital hygiene at the UFR Health and the Poitiers University Hospital
Dr. Sarah Thevenot is a Lecturer and Hospital Practitioner in hospital hygiene at the UFR Health and the Poitiers University Hospital. From a research perspective, she is affiliated with the IHES team (Interactions between Humans, Environment and Health) within the Ecology and Biology of Interactions (EBI) Laboratory, UMR 7267, at the University of Poitiers, as well as with the Clinical Investigation Center (CIC), INSERM 1402, at the Poitiers University Hospital.
Her research work in environmental health focuses on the management and prevention of environmental risks in hospital care. It contributes to patient safety and the creation of health-promoting environments through the prevention of healthcare-associated infections, the reduction of exposure to endocrine disruptors and the mitigation, adaptation and anticipation of the effects of climate change on healthcare facilities. In this context, she evaluates strategies implemented as part of the eco-design of healthcare-associated infection prevention.

Tristan Ferry
Co-director of the Infectious and Tropical Diseases Unit, responsible for the regional reference centre for CRIOAC and clinical leader of the ESCMID study group on non-traditional antibacterial therapies
Dr. Tristan Ferry is a recognized expert in the field of infectious diseases and osteo-articular infections (IOA). Graduate of the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, where he currently co-leads the Infectious and Tropical Diseases unit. He is also responsible of the regional reference centre for complex osteo-articular infections (CRIOAc) and co-responsible of the multidisciplinary group in Lyon dedicated to these pathologies.
After receiving his PhD in 2007 and his Habilitation to Conduct Research (HDR) in 2011, he further developed his expertise during a post-doctoral study in Geneva, working on HIV and osteoarticular infections with Staphylococcus aureus. Its research activity focuses on the development of innovative treatments for bone and joint infections, including bacteriophagotherapy and the combined use of local antibiotics.
As Chair of the CRIOAc National Scientific Committee and clinical leader of the ESCMID study group on non-traditional antibacterial therapies, Dr. Ferry is committed to promoting and evaluating these innovative approaches, while facilitating their clinical application for the benefit of patients.

Baptiste Gaborieau
Researcher at the Institut Pasteur specializing in the field of phage therapy
Baptiste Gaborieau is a physician in intensive care medicine at Louis Mourier Hospital (AP-HP) and a microbiological researcher at Paris Cité University. As part of the IAME unit, his research focuses on translational studies exploring phage-bacteria interactions in the context of phage therapy. His primary interests lie in understanding bacterial sensitivity to phages and the mechanisms driving the emergence of phage resistance.

Researcher with expertise in computational social science, computational intelligence and recommender systems
Dr Shahab Saquib Sohail has received his PhD in Computer Science from Aligarh Muslim University, India. Currently he is an Assistant Professor in VIT Bhopal University, India in the School of Computing Science and Engineering. His research interests include AI, ML, Healthcare, Recommender Systems, and computational intelligence. Dr Shahab has published more than 85 research papers and book chapters indexed in Scopus, 3 patents, and 1 book. He currently leads the list of top authors on "ChatgPT" over Scopus. He has delivered guest lectures and conference presentations at many reputed avenues such as UC, Berkeley, USA. He is looking at exploring ways to civilize AI and design uniform protocol to assure ethical AI.

Hélène Strick-Marchand
Director of Research heading the group “Humanized mice for infectious disease modeling” in the Innate Immunity Unit lead by Pr. James Di Santo in the Immunology Department at the Institut Pasteur
Dr. Strick-Marchand is Director of Research heading the group “Humanized mice for infectious disease modeling” in the Innate Immunity Unit lead by Pr. James Di Santo in the Immunology Department at the Institut Pasteur. She received her PhD in Cell and Developmental Biology from the Univ Paris VI, and her HDR in Immunology from the Univ Paris VII. Her research interests include liver development, hepatic immunity, and investigating host-virus crosstalks by developing novel humanized mouse models to study hepatotropic pathogens, focusing on the Hepatitis B virus. Her recent work investigates immune responses in HBV Cure therapies using humanized models. She is President of the ANRS commission CSS12 for fundamental research in viral hepatitis.

Guillaume Desoubeaux

Flore Nardella
Doctor of Pharmacy with a CNRS position (CRCN) in Françoise Benoit Vical’s team at the Laboratoire de Chimie de Coordination (UPR8241, Toulouse)
Flore Nardella is a Doctor of Pharmacy who obtained her PhD in biological and therapeutic chemistry from the University of Strasbourg in 2017, after 3 years of characterizing the antimalarial activity of a natural product derivative against malaria. During her PhD, she also spent 6 months at the Institut Pasteur in Cambodia, working on artemisinin-resistant P. falciparum field isolates adapted to in vitro culture.
Building on this experience, she developed a drug discovery program in the laboratory of Artur Scherf (Institut Pasteur, Paris), during her first postdoctoral position. During this time, she worked on the identification of epigenetic inhibitors for malaria therapy (in collaboration with Matthew Fuchter, University of Oxford, UK, and Paola Arimondo, Institut Pasteur, Paris, FR). Then, she joined Debopam Chakrabarti’s laboratory (University of Central Florida, Orlando, USA) in January 2023 to repurpose kinase inhibitors as antimalarial therapy.
There, she worked as part of a consortium including leaders in the field of malaria and drug development (Nathanael Gray, Elisabeth Winzeler, Sanjay Desai, David Fidock). In 2023, she obtained a CNRS position (CRCN) and joined Françoise Benoit Vical’s team in February 2024 at the Laboratoire de Chimie de Coordination (UPR8241, Toulouse).

Chantal Morel
Health economist specializing in antimicrobial resistance
Chantal Morel is a health economist specializing in antimicrobial resistance. Her research focuses on the costs of antimicrobial resistance and the use of interventions to reduce the overall economic burden. These include interventions at the prescription level (incentives to improve management), both in humans and animals. It is also interested in the use of new financial and structural arrangements to support innovation in the antibiotic chain in order to produce better products, improve resistance monitoring, expand sustainable use measures across the system and increase access to antibiotics where there is a clinical need that is currently unmet by supply.
